Albury Wodonga Motorcyle club receive a fresh look with a new Motocross track build

Protraxx Pty Ltd have completed another Club MX track build this year, for Albury – Wodonga Motorcycle club. Located on the boarder of NSW and Victoria by the Hume Fwy, this club is well recognized for hosting some large scale events such as, MX Nationals and the Short track summer series in the past.

“I received a call from the guys at AWMCC and couldn’t have been more pumped to be able to have free reignon creating their new mx track. The guys were so easy to deal with and had trust in us to deliver. We are very grateful that Winnet equipment hire were able to give us a hand throughout the process.Through the build our main focus was to open the track up and make it flow and fun. We added some technical sections while still catering to the junior riders.A main point the club put forward to us was their desire to run a National event in the coming years. We kept this in mind throughout the build and we believe this track is definitely one the professional rider will enjoy racing on” – Josh Proctor Director Protraxx

We asked president Chris Seaton of the AWMCC to answer a few questions.

Full Name’s and Role’s in the club? Chris Seaton – President

Josh Antone – Vice President Zac Arnold – Treasurer Caroline Garlick – Secretary

Will you have an open day to ride the new track?  Yes What are the plans for the club now? To get the track re licenced, watering system in ASAP so we can then get back into regular practice days.Long term we hope to attract some big events such as state titles both disciplines, MX nationals, and look to host some great one of events.

Have you guys got any upcoming events planned after Covid 19 settles? We have a committee meeting Tuesday night. The First since covid began. Is a MX Nationals on the cards? We have applied for 2021.

Website, Facebook or Instagram that we can send people to? Yes we have Facebook and Instagram Facebook AWMCClubInstagram @albury_wodonga_mc_club

How did you get on to Josh – Protraxx? We had been looking at the possibility of getting someone in to fix our MX track ever since Josh Antone, Zac and I stepped in. After some investigation it became clear PROTRAXX was the best in the business, so we set about booking him in.

This was the hardest part as Josh is a busy man. Fortunately the stars aligned and we got him in just as the COVID restrictions are easing.

What do you and the club think of the track and Protraxx work would you change anything in the future?

We have been blown away with the transformation and quality.  Josh has an amazing ability to create a track on the fly with amazing layout tweaks along the way.He has most certainly made our drainage 1000 times better and No dirt was brought in for this build…. which surprises so many.

The other good thing was his knowledge of the rules and track safety regs which is going to make for a easier re-licensing process and a far safer track for juniors and seniors to enjoy.
