Proudly supporting the 2026 Australian Junior Motocross Championships

7 September 2026 – Protraxx is proud to announce its commitment to the 2026 Australian Junior Motocross Championships (AJMX), working alongside Motorcycling Australia and the event organisers to provide track preparation and maintenance throughout this year’s championship.

Following the MXGP of Australia in Darwin, the Protraxx crew will make the express trip south to Shepparton for AJMX, where the team will remain on site throughout the event week preparing and maintaining the track for Australia’s leading junior motocross riders.

AJMX represents one of the most important stages in the Australian motocross pathway, bringing together the country’s best young riders to compete for national championships. It is also a championship that has played an important role in the development of generations of Australian riders who have gone on to compete successfully at the highest levels of the sport, both nationally and internationally.

For Protraxx, being part of that pathway and helping prepare the track on which Australia’s next generation will compete is something the team is incredibly proud to support.

The AJMX commitment forms part of a broader direction for Protraxx, with the company looking to reinvest more of its resources, experience and industry support back into Australian motocross, junior development and the clubs and tracks that help riders progress through the sport.

Having spent years designing and building tracks at every level — from private training facilities and motocross clubs through to Australian and international championship events — Protraxx wants to use that experience to support the next generation of Australian riders.

For Protraxx Directors Josh and Jess Proctor, that direction also has a strong personal connection. As a young family with children of their own, they understand the importance of giving young riders access to safe, professionally prepared and well-maintained tracks as they progress through the sport.

“AJMX is where you see the best young riders from around Australia come together, and we’ve seen some incredible Australian riders come through Junior Aussies and go on to compete at the highest level around the world,” Protraxx Director Josh Proctor said.

“For us, being able to contribute our experience to an event that plays such an important role in the development of Australian riders is something we’re really excited about.”

“These kids are the future of Australian motocross. We want to use the experience and resources we’ve built over the years to support them, the clubs they ride at and the tracks they’re developing their skills on.”

Investing Back Into Australian Motocross

AJMX will form part of a wider commitment from Protraxx to invest back into Australian motocross. Over the coming year, Protraxx plans to announce further initiatives supporting junior development, motocross clubs and riders across Australia.

Protraxx will also bring its new Activations Truck to AJMX, creating an on-site presence throughout championship week. The truck will support Protraxx’s loyal industry partners while giving junior riders and families activities and opportunities to engage with the team throughout the event.

With competitors and families travelling from across Australia, Protraxx sees AJMX as an opportunity to support not only the racing on track, but the wider community surrounding junior motocross.

MXGP Darwin to AJMX to East Coast Track Build Run

Following MXGP Darwin and AJMX, Protraxx has opened limited track build availability for late October and November, with the team working from the Mackay region in Queensland back through to Victoria.

Private property owners, riders and motocross clubs located along the route who have been considering a new track, redevelopment or major track works are encouraged to contact Protraxx to discuss being added to the run.

With further announcements planned, Protraxx sees its 2026 AJMX involvement as an important part of the company’s continued investment into Australian motocross and the riders who will carry the sport into the future.
