Protraxx proudly announces the successful delivery of the FIM Motocross World Championship (MXGP) circuit at Hidden

Valley Raceway, Darwin, a project celebrated by riders, teams, and fans as one of the best tracks of the season.

Built in just 25 days with over 46,000 cubic metres of material, the track transformed Hidden Valley into a challenging, world-class circuit with elevation, rhythm, and spectacle. Over 36,000 fans attended the three-day event, which went on to win the MXGP Global Award for Best Promotion.

Riders Applaud the Track

The international motocross elite praised the preparation and design:

• Glenn Coldenhoff: “Track wise one of the best I have ridden… I think they should get Grand Prix of the year award.”

• Romain Febvre: “Every corner had double lines. Many tracks are one-line – this was not. It was great.”

• Lucas Coenen: “One of the best tracks I have ever ridden… I love it.”

• Kiara Fontanesi: “A real challenge – rough, technical, and fun.”

 

Protraxx Fan Activation

Beyond the track itself, Protraxx created an on-ground activation zone that added to the fan experience. Run by Jess and Kristen, the activation was a hit with the public:

• Kids got hands-on with the Protraxx CAT Track Builder Table, where they could build their own miniature motocross circuits.

• A Track Design Competition encouraged young fans to sketch their dream layouts, with prizes awarded for the most creative builds.

  • MXGP fans browsed and purchased Protraxx and CAT merchandise, including hats, shirts, and toy bikes / CAT machinery.

• Clients where also able to talk to  Jess about building their own private tracks and receive information and price guides for future projects.

The activation was praised by families and fans for being interactive, fun, and informative — helping bring Protraxx’s world of track building closer to the community.
